Little Howard is the world’s only live interactive animation. He’s won so many awards and fantastic reviews and he’s only just celebrated his 6th birthday (for the tenth year in a row)!
He’s also a published author and has done lots of television stuff, like The Royal Variety Performance, The Slammer (CBBC) and Little Howard’s Big Question (BBC1) – yes, he’s even had his own television show!
Yet Little Howard is true to his roots and live theatre is still his first love. But life is tough in showbiz; Little Howard’s big new act keeps going wrong, Roger The Pigeon has spent all their money on cookie cutters, his comedy counterpart Big Howard has been diagnosed with being clinically unfunny and there’s a slug in the backstage toilet. And it’s about to get worse: a sinister figure arrives and Big Howard and Little Howard have to put on the best show of their lives to keep themselves out of jail!
Following the success of their TV show ‘Little Howard’s Big Question’ (CBBC) real human Big Howard and animated six-year-old Little Howard are bringing their unique family comedy show to The Atkinson on Saturday 18 July at 2.30pm .

Big and Little Howard have toured their hilarious hi-tech shows nationally and internationally to Melbourne, New York, Stockholm and Aspen. They have had numerous TV appearances and their books ‘Little Howard’s Unpleasant Lullaby’ and ‘Little Howard’s Big Book’ (Harper Collins) are available in all good bookshops and from their website.
Howard has also written for Horrible Histories, Fit (CBBC), Gigglebiz (Cbeebies) and is currently working on several very exiting TV animation projects.
Howard Read is a highly acclaimed stand-up comedian for adults who decided to create a show that would entertain parents as well as children. His solo TV appearances include The World Stands Up (Paramount Comedy Channel) and 28 Acts in 28 Minutes (BBC Three). His six-part series, Peacefully in Their Sleeps, received rave reviews on BBC Radio 4.
