Sea Change: The Art of England’s North West Coast
Share:

Over the past two centuries the local coastline has inspired a range of artistic responses by major British artists, from Antony Gormley’s iconic sculpture at Crosby beach to the work of landscape painters like JMW Turner and David Cox at Morecambe Bay.

This major exhibition of paintings, poetry, sculpture and artists’ film inspired by the North West coast will feature a wide range of work, from Martin Parr’s iconic photographs of New Brighton to Paul Scott’s ceramics as well as a newly commissioned work by contemporary photographer Paul Kenny made of found materials from Ainsdale beach.

Image is by Martin Parr.
