Baby changing facilities

We have baby changing facilities on the ground and first floor within our disabled toilets. Find our more about our toilet facilities here.

Breastfeeding

We are a breastfeeding friendly venue.

Bringing children to an event

For all our children’s shows, children aged 12 months and under can sit on their parents or guardians lap for free, for children aged over 12 months usual ticket prices will apply and a seat will be allocated. The Atkinson retains the right to exclude babies in arms for any performance.

A selection of booster seats are available on a first come first serve basis.

Drinking water is available at any time during the performances and younger children can see a show with an older sibling as long as the parent is present. Please note: Only food bought on the premises through  The Atkinson or A Great Little Place can be consumed on the premises. We appreciate your understanding.

Relaxed Performances

These events are for anyone who would benefit from a more relaxed environment in our Theatre and Studio. Feel free to move around, make noise and leave and re-enter as necessary. These performances are great for those living with dementia, families with younger siblings or who have Autism Spectrum Condition or a learning disability. We want everyone to feel welcome and comfortable in our surroundings so please let us know if you have any specific questions about events. Don’t forget, we have a limited selection ear defenders that you can borrow free of charge, available on a first come first serve basis. Please feel free to bring your own ear defenders.
