- The 24 Hour Library – Online Resources – a number of online services that can be accessed from any internet-enabled computer 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
- Home Visit Library Service – free delivery service for less mobile members of the community
Children’s Library
Southport Library’s showpiece is the extended children’s section with room for activities and events, which includes a ship, specially made for the library, named after Kathleen – a real fishing boat built in Southport around 1900. There is also a teenage area. The space is family friendly with a number of reading, singing and arts and crafts activities taking place in the area.
Tourist Information
Tourist Information is now part of the Library and Information Services. You can find out about:
- Information on events, attractions, and things to do in and around Southport
- Information on places to eat out in the resort
- Information on pubs and night clubs in the resort
- Local travel information including car parking
- Souvenirs of Southport – and much more are available in the Shop
