We don’t wish to alarm anybody but The Atkinson has been under attack! Yes, you read that right. The Mekon, that green spacefaring menace, appears to have set his sights on our humble museum.
We invited little artists and space cadets to come along and join in our comic themed Make It! Craft Sessions and they blasted off with a villainous inspiration: The Mekon, infamous foe of Dan Dare from the legendary Eagle comic. They captured the Mekon’s cunning personality in every stroke, making sure everyone knew he was up to no good!
The Make It mission was a smash hit, with nearly 200 space cadets joining the artistic adventure throughout the day. Here are just some of the epic creations they came up with!
