HRH The King visits Southport

His Royal Highness The King Charles III visited Southport today to meet with those affected by the tragedy in the town last month.

The King attended a special lunch with the families of those affected before meeting with the public outside Southport Town Hall today (Tuesday August 20th).

Following this the King then spent time with members of the emergency services who were involved in the rapid response and subsequent management of the incident over recent weeks.

As the King departed he signed the book of condolence giving his ‘deepest sympathies’ to the town.
