Erja Lyytinen

Erja Lyytinen is a blues singer/songwriter and slide guitarist who plays over 100 shows every year and releases albums through her label Tuohi Records.

After her latest Stolen Hearts album, which was mixed by Rolling Stones producer Chris Kimsey, she performed on the Finnish TV show “Stars Stars” for millions on TV and is building a career that has taken her to perform together with Sonny Landreth among others.

In November 2017 Erja won the European Blues Award for “Best Guitarist” and was voted the 7th best blues guitarist in a poll of The Music Radar. In June 2018 she opened for Santana at their show in Helsinki’s Kaisaniemi Park.

Bluesman Mike Francis

Over 40 years ago Mike began touring Europe with a band that was to later provide a prominent member of Bad Company. Having worked with a number of Soul, Blues & Rock legends including the late Greg Lake, he recently teamed up with lifelong friend, Tina Turner and original Tears for Fears guitarist Neil Taylor to record a ‘New Era Blues’ project with the intention of introducing the genre to a whole new generation of followers.

A naturally engaging performer and favourite on European Festival and Blues Cruise circuits, Mike recently acted opposite film and drama icon Emilia Fox. A former finalist himself, in 2016 he took up a role as UK events coordinator for the European Blues Awards and helps to organise a number of national events and activities including the Manchester Blues Festival.
