We regret to inform you that Sheelanagig have cancelled their performance at Love Folk Festival on Fri 14 Feb due to ill health.

The Friday line-up at Love Folk Festival has been re-programmed to include BBC Radio 2 award-winning trio The Trials of Cato with support from The Goat Roper Band and Lizzy Hardingham

The Atkinson apologises for these unforeseen circumstances which are out of our control.

Our sixth annual Love Folk Festival returns to Southport for a celebration of new, upcoming and traditional folk music. Join us at The Atkinson for the little festival with the big heart and spend the most romantic weekend of the year dancing, singing, drinking, eating and generally loving folk!

This year we welcome The Trials of Cato, The Goat Roper BandSheelanagigMartyn JosephMerry HellBlair Dunlop, Granny’s Attic and Lucy Farrell & Andrew Waite.

Love Folk Festival takes place in the studio with a clubstyle layout. If you purchase lower level seating, tables and chairs are available on a first come first serve basis. If you purchase balcony seating, you will be assigned a seat number for the festival.

You will be given a lanyard on arrival to the festival. Lanyards must be worn at all times to allow you to move freely across the festival.

Festival tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.

The Atkinson’s Theatre bar will have a special range of refreshments for Love Folk Festival, as well as a choice of pub snacks.

A Great Little Place
A Great Little Place café in The Atkinson will be offering a variety of hot and cold food throughout the festival.
