Molly Tuttle is one of the musicians that Grateful Fred has long been trying to bring to play for us and Rachel Baiman has previously played at the Grateful Fred Cafe’ Sessions as part of the duo, “Ten String Symphony”.

So we thrilled to be welcoming Rachel back to Grateful Fred’s and welcoming Molly for the very first time.

Molly was the first woman in the 27-year history of the International Bluegrass Music Association awards to be nominated for ‘Guitar Player of the Year’, the only instrumental category that had not yet nominated a woman, and she has just won it! Blazing a trail Stateside with appearances at top tier festivals, including RockyGrass Festival, and on programs such as ‘A Prairie Home Companion’, Molly has expanded her audience in the USA and is about to do the same in the UK. She will be showcasing songs from her debut solo EP, ‘Rise’.
Nashville Americana songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Rachel was one half of the excellent 10 String Symphony and has played fiddle for numerous other artists, including Kacey Musgraves. She will be showcasing songs from her debut solo album, ‘Shame’, which has received favourable reviews since it was released in the UK.

Touring as co-headliners, Molly and Rachel will join one another for their respective sets, making both sets a duo performance.

Support: Limerance
Amongst all of the wonderful support artists that played at Grateful Fred’s in 2017 one of those that made the biggest impression on the night would have to be Jenny and Calum of Limerance.

When they opened for The Danberrys at Grateful Fred’s in July of last year they really did bring the house down with their songs and beautiful, unique harmonies.

Since then they have released their first CD, “In The First Place” and have played scores of shows throughout the UK. If you missed them the first time around then this is your chance to make up for it.

With headliners Molly & Rachel and supporting artists as good as Limerance, this is all set up for being one of the truly great nights at Grateful Fred’s.
