Curator Tours

Our expert curators guide you around our temporary exhibitions and share their insight, as well as encouraging students to think critically and respond individually to the artworks.

Tours last approximately 45mins

Cost: £25 for a class of 30


Careers Talks

Our Museum and Gallery team provide tours and talks that focus on developing a career in Museums and Art Galleries. The talks include discussions and advice on the wide range of roles available in the Arts and Heritage sector.

We can tailor these sessions to the needs of your students so please get in touch to discuss the possibilities. If getting to The Atkinson is difficult for your students, we can also offer career talks at your venue (subject to availability – additional travel costs)

Work Placements

We offer work placements across a range of departments including curatorial and exhibition design, front of house, education and marketing.

Please note demand for work placements at The Atkinson is extremely high. Get in touch as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.


Live Briefs

We offer exciting opportunities for students to work on ‘Live Briefs’ at The Atkinson, from exhibition design to documentary photography. We work with students to set them a brief that suits them and our programme.
