Catch Tristan Mackay at The Atkinson on Friday 12 July and see one of the UK’s future stars.

His debut album of all original tracks was released in February 2012 and went straight to No.1 on the itunes Blues Album chart in both the UK and Australia.

He has come along way from being spotted while busking by Grammy award winning producer Martin Levan to now fast becoming one the UK’s hottest talents. He has received massive interest from the British press including features and articles in The Sun, London Evening Standard, Channel Five News, BBC Look North, BBC London, West Country News, BBC Radio 2 and more.

His album ‘Out Along the Wire’ received fantastic reviews from the music press and has been widely acclaimed by critics, who have compared Tristan to the likes of Mark Knopfler, Eric Clapton and John Mayer. His single ‘A Million Little Things’ was played and praised by Alex Lester on BBC Radio 2 and was also performed live on John Holmes BBC Radio 2 program.

Tristan had an extremely successful debut tour in May/June 2012 which was followed by an equally triumphant special guest support tour for Joanne Shaw Taylor. 2013 promises to be his biggest year yet with Tristan supporting both Beth Hart and Robben Ford on the UK leg of their World tours’ as well as featuring at the infamous Secret Garden Party.
