A Trip into the Stars with The Atkinson

A Trip into the Stars with The Atkinson

Once there was a boy and the boy loved stars very much…

Every night he watched stars from his bedroom window and wished he had one of his own. One day, he decided he would try to catch a star……but first he had to think of a plan.

With the summer holidays now in full swing, why not take a journey into the stars at The Atkinson for the magical tale of a boy who wanted to find out How to Catch a Star.

The adaptation of the bestselling children’s book by award winning author, Oliver Jeffers is a clever new show that comes to life with an irresistible blend of music, puppetry and storytelling – a must-see for small people aged 3-7, and grown-up stargazers!

Emma Lloyd, The Atkinson’s Performing Arts, Marketing and Visitor Services Manager said:

How to Catch a Star is a lovely story well known by parents and children alike. Blunderbus are a theatre company that never fail to disappoint, their productions are always beautifully staged and captivate their audience throughout.

They have had international success with their production of The Owl who was Afraid of the Dark and this new show is set to do the same.”

The acclaimed Blunderbus Theatre Company presents their new production on Wednesday 21 August at 2.30pm. Tickets are £7.50 and available online at www.theatkinson.co.uk , by calling The Atkinson box office on 01704 533333 and over the counter.
