Jon Mayhew (Mortlock series) and Cathy Cassidy (Chocolate Box series) will be dropping in at The Atkinson to help us celebrate the Big Imaginations Festival starting on 19 October and running until 3 November.

Jon Mayhew will be appearing in The Atkinson’s Library on Monday 21 October at 5pm.

Mayhem and Monsters: Join Jon Mayhew the author of multi-award-winning gothic horror novels Mortlock, The Demon Collector and The Bonehill Curse for some chilling tales and mind-bending riddles. Find out the tales that inspired his creepy writing… and if you’re really lucky Jon might tell you his true ghost story. Be warned you will have nightmares. Only kids with guts allowed…and kids of 8+!

Cathy Cassidy is dropping in for a chat and a gossip on Wednesday 23 October at 5pm in The Atkinson, Library. Her Chocolate Box series has been a masssive success and has made her Puffin’s top-selling author for girls. This event is most suitable for ages 9-12 years.

Both authors will be here reading from their work and answering questions.

Waterstones will be selling copies of their books for a signing at the end of each event.
