On Friday 1 August DJ and singer songwriter Cerys Matthews will perform at The Atkinson.
2013 has been a remarkable year for the singer, author and broadcaster. Winning gold at the Sony Radio Academy Awards for her Sunday morning show on BBC Radio 6 music which she programmes and hosts, her sing-a-long book Hook, Line and Singer became a top 3 bestseller in the Sunday Times and August saw her triumphant debut at the Proms at the Royal Albert Hall.
This special concert will see Cerys up close and personal singing songs from her last album Baby it’s Cold Outside along with some other firm favourites.
Award winning artist Cerys said: “I am really looking forward to performing at The Atkinson in Southport, and with it being my only headline show of 2014, I am sure it will be a really special event.”
