Guardian Live: In Conversation with Russell Brand at The Atkinson

Guardian Live: In Conversation with Russell Brand at The Atkinson

The Atkinson prepares itself for an evening with Russell Brand on Thursday 23 October with the live screening of his interview with The Guardian’s Owen Jones.

Russell Brand, one of our most controversial public figures, talks to the Guardian’s Owen Jones about why he thinks revolution isn’t just possible, but inevitable. In his new book, the writer and comedian argues that the system isn’t working, that our governments are corrupt and the opposing parties are all pointlessly similar. Is there another way or is this just ‘the way things are’?

Brand has been taking on talk show hosts, Fox News fascists and BBC stalwarts. Now drawing on the likes of Orwell and Piketty, he sets out his ideas for a brighter, fairer society.

Fans of Russell Brand will love this one-off event streamed live to cinemas and theatres around the country.

In conversation with Russell Brand is presented by Guardian Live and takes place on Thursday 23 October at 7pm at The Atkinson. Tickets are £10 and are available online at or by calling the Box Office on 01704 533333. They are also available over the counter during The Atkinson opening hours.

*Please note: is a live screening of the event and Russell Brand will not be appearing live.*

Please be advised that there is a £2 booking fee for telephone and online sales.
