For the first time in its history the Sefton Open also provides local art groups and societies with an opportunity to exhibit together and to showcase their work. Art groups from Ainsdale, Birkdale, Maghull and Southport are all represented in the biggest celebration of Sefton’s creativity ever seen.

The Palette Club are working in partnership with The Atkinson and are selecting the work by individual artists to appear in the exhibition, while The Atkinson team has selected the work from art groups and societies.

There are opportunities to buy unique artworks and collect them in time for Christmas with a wide variety of work on show, ranging from large-scale sculpture to textiles, ceramics and paintings

This year there is a £100 people prize for the artwork voted most popular by visitors, so do not forget to cast your vote when you visit!

The Sefton Open is on display until Friday 19 December.
