New Old Friends brings their brand new show, an adaptation of Anthony Horowitz’ novel The Falcon’s Malteser to The Atkinson on Sunday 23 November.
This hilarious family show follows the adventures of the hopelessly inept private detective Tim Diamond and his sharp witted brother Nick.
The plot sees the Diamond Brothers Detective agency on a thrilling case to discover just what is so important about the box of Maltesers. It features a host of brilliant characters like: The Fat Man (who has lost a lot of weight), Gott & Himmel, Lauren Barcardi, Beatrice von Falkenberg and Betty Cleaner.
The Falcon’s Malteser is for audiences aged 8+ and draws upon the comic song writing pedigree of the New Old Friends’ national debut tour (the five-star Silly Songs of Shakespeare) as well as puppetry, slapstick and a cast of four playing multiple roles.
Both Anthony Horowitz himself and his publisher Walker Books have pledged to support the marketing of the show. They will be tweeting and Facebooking to their legions of followers (Anthony has already tweeted a few times with instant results).
