Let The Atkinson take you on a magical journey of prancing lolly-stick horses, mountains by the sea, caskets of gold, and scurvy pirates!
On Saturday 5 September Peaceful Lion Productions bring their new show Rosie’s Magic Horse to The Atkinson.
A story so wonderfully imaginative that it could only have come from the mind of Russell Hoban and brought vividly to life by illustrator extraordinaire Quentin Blake.
“Thrills the tiny tots.” – The Daily Mail
“Russell Hoban’s enchanting story sets Quentin Blake’s prancing lolly-stick horses galloping across cities and jungles and over oceans and deserts on a quest for pirate gold.” – The Guardian
Little Rosie collects ice-lolly sticks and puts them in an old box. As Rosie dreams of helping her parents pay off the bills her stick collection dreams of becoming something greater. And so, at the stroke of midnight, magic and dreams collide and a horse gallops out of the box!
His name is Stickerino. “Where to?” he asks. “Anywhere with treasure!” she answers. There begins an adventure like none other: ice-lolly mountains by the sea, caskets of gold, and scurvy pirates. A heart-warming tale of aspiration, friendship, adventure and a little bit of mischief.
Join the adventure of Rosie’s Magic Horse on Saturday 5 September at 2.30pm.
Tickets for Rosie’s Magic Horse are £8 (£6 children / £24 family). Tickets are available online at theatkinson.co.uk or by calling the Box Office on 01704 533333. They are also available over the counter during The Atkinson opening hours.
