Sophie Bucket lives on a farm with her Dad. She spends all of her time day- dreaming, but most of her time alone. If only she had a little friend to share her adventures.
One day, Sophie finds an egg. She keeps it warm, and out pops a cuddly, toothy, burpy, baby MONSTER! And this is when the fun begins.
My Pet Monster can be seen on Saturday 31 October at 2.30pm. It is part of The Atkinson’s 3 for 2 on Children’s Theatre Offers this season. Book for 3 different shows and get the third free!
Kidsfest takes place every year during October half term. It is a chance for The Atkinson to showcase its leading offer for families across the Museum, Galleries, Theatre, Library and free arts and craft activities. The festival is sponsored by MumsintheKnowSouthport and Southport Visiter.
Don’t forget to visit the Bakery during October half term, as we launch our new children’s menu. The menu has been designed with our younger audience in mind by our new chef.

Blunderbus Theatre will be returning to The Atkinson this Christmas with their show Santa’s Little Helper on Sunday 20 December at 2.30pm. Their delightful new show has an irresistible blend of music, puppetry and high energy storytelling. With lots of laughs, sing-along songs and plenty of opportunities to join in along the way, this is the perfect treat for Christmas.Oh, and the chance to meet Santa himself!
