The Love Folk Festival team are pleased to announce that award winning singer-songwriter, Ange Hardy, will be joining Fatea Magazine Editor and radio presenter Neil King at the media workshop being held as part of the Love Folk Festival.
This free workshop, starting at 11am on Saturday 13 February at The Atkinson, Southport, will focus on how to get your act into the media and making the best use of social media to get yourself noticed.
Ange Hardy will be offering insights as to how she has achieved it and together with Fatea’s Neil King, will be offering advice and answering your questions about getting yourself heard in the digital age. You do not have to have a festival ticket to attend this workshop, just a keen interest in reaching out to a wider audience.
The Love Folk Festival now in its second year – takes place on Friday 12 & Saturday 13 February at The Atkinson. This year the team hope to attract new audiences to enjoy the fabulous line-up of new, upcoming, traditional and contemporary folk that can be heard over the weekend.
The line-up also includes Saturday’s headliner Seth Lakeman (solo) with Elbow Jane, Will Pound & Eddie Jay, Ange Hardy and Sheelanagig sharing the stage across the 2 days.

The Busk Love Folk Event will run in the foyer throughout the afternoon and evening of Saturday 13 of February and consist of twenty minute showcase appearances. The winners of the slots will be decided by The #LoveFolk Festival team & their media partner, Fatea Magazine.

About The Atkinson
The Atkinson is Southport’s beautiful new home for music, theatre, art, poetry, literature and history, right in the middle of Lord Street in Southport. Significant investment has been made in refurbishing the stunning 19th century buildings, to create a really welcoming multi art-form venue with a strong contemporary feel.
The Atkinson offers an exciting and varied destination for families, cultural tourists and arts enthusiasts alike, with a full day and night time offer. Wile the day away visiting the new shop, that sells gifts and contemporary crafts from regional makers and then relax in the Bakery, choosing from a selection of artisan bread sandwiches, cakes and sharing platters. You can even take little bit of The Atkinson home with you from the delicatessen. Wander through the major exhibitions and see performances from some of the UK’s foremost musicians, actors, performers and companies, films, family activities and much more.
The new Museum is now open. Sefton Between Land & Sea tells the story of Southport and Sefton as well as the area’s dramatic maritime history. While Discover Ancient Egypt – the new Egyptology Gallery is the home of the Goodison Egyptology Collection, a remarkable collection of archaeology that has not been seen for over 40 years.
