Sefton Council is launching Heritage Trails in Southport and Waterloo to encourage residents and visitors to explore the historic environment around them.
Showcasing a diverse range of sites and monuments, picked by local history groups and civic society, the trails will allow users to explore the borough and learn more about its past, unique features and individual architecture.
It is hoped that the trails will help improve community understanding and participation in heritage work, developing links with local colleges to enhance conservation skills such as recording the historic environment.
The trails, part of the Council’s Heritage at Risk project, is a collaborative effort between us, Historic England, Sefton Council and various local community groups.
We want the photograph to come from you!
