The Classic Rock Society’s  core aim is to foster the growth and development of ‘grass roots’ progressive and general ‘classic’ rock, by bringing together like-minded individuals, and giving bands who may struggle for gigs a platform to play. These smaller shows are to some extent subsidised by larger profile bands that also play for the Society. They produce a Bi-Monthly magazine, Rock Society, which is free to members and also sold at gigs and on the website. The magazine features new and smaller bands plus brand new interviews with classic rock stars of 70s vintage and beyond – some recent features have included David Coverdale, Steve Hackett, Roger Hodgson, Jack Bruce and Ian Anderson.
