Television favourite Mark Steel brings his brand new comedy tour, Who Do I Think I Am? to The Atkinson.
Critically acclaimed star of BBC1’s Have I Got News For You and BBC Radio 4’s Mark Steel’s in Town, Mark Steel guides the audience through his incredible journey of self-discovery as he shares the story of his biological heritage.
Who Do I Think I Am? tells how Steel discovered he did not have the genes, the nationality or the social class he was expecting. He is, it turns out, half-Scottish, half-Jewish; the child of a teenage runaway and an international jetsetter.
Full of biographical details that seem too weird to be true, Steel’s wonderful comedy throws audiences into a hilarious exploration of who his biological parents are, where he really comes from and what it all means for him.
An act that will have audiences laughing and giggling face to face with nostalgia, Who Do I Think I Am? is simply one of a kind.
Mark Steel: Who Do I Think I Am? will be in The Atkinson’s Theatre on Thursday 24 November at 8pm. Tickets are £15*.
