The Atkinson – The Place to be this Feb Half Term!

Dragons, Bedtime Stories, X-Wings, Star Wars, Hungry Caterpillars a Giant Wiggle and more – all at The Atkinson this half term.

Parents need not worry about what to do this holiday as The Atkinson has it all in hand.

May The Toys Be With You is a must see for fans of Star Wars or cinema history! It is a unique opportunity to see rare Star Wars toys and collectables from 1977 – 1985. The Atkinson is the only venue in the North to receive the exhibition and with it finishing on 5 March – time is running out! Entrance is £3 adults, £2 children, £8 family

From Friday 17 – Sunday 19 February you can have your photo taken in the X-Wing in the foyer – for just a £1 donation. Well known Star Wars characters will be on hand to help you with Darth Vader himself making an appearance on Sunday!

Don’t Dribble on the Dragon is another great show from The Peoples Theatre Company. Tom is a toddler with a cool older brother, a secret dragon… and a dribbling problem that just won’t stop! When Tom’s endless drooling threatens to tear the brothers’ friendship apart can their dragon’s amazing magic help them put it back together again or will it only end up making things worse?

Based on the book by Steven Lee and with magic designed by the legendary Paul Daniels himself! This is a spectacular musical adventure about growing up and the importance of family is the perfect feel good show for big hearted adults and loving little ones alike.

Don’t Dribble on the Dragon on Monday 13 February, 2.30pm – tickets £8 (£6 children / £24 family). Steven will be signing copies of his books after the show!

Come and explore the fun, frustration and fantasy in the magical time between awake and asleep. Real world play will blur with the magic of dreams as we all try to settle down and finally get ready to say goodnight, and go to sleep… unless that is, we can have 5 more minutes!?

5 More Minutes from Travelled Companions takes place on Friday 17 February, 11.30am & 2.30pm. Tickets – £8 / £6 child / £24 family. Ages 6 and under.
