It’s official The Atkinson’s café really is A Great Little Place!
We have always been proud of A Great Little Place. The fresh food and drinks that the social enterprise café serves not only support autistic people into work placements, it’s has also won them a whole host of awards. From best coffee shop, to independent café of the year, the café has risen to one of the highest ranked eateries in Southport on TripAdvisor.
The latest accolade about to be hung on the wall in The Atkinson (where A Great Little Place is located) is the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence.
The Certificate of Excellence accounts for the quality and quantity of reviews submitted by people on TripAdvisor over a 12-month period. To qualify, a business must maintain an overall TripAdvisor bubble rating of at least four out of five, have a minimum number of reviews and must have been listed on TripAdvisor for at least 12 months
Neela Pal, Vice President of Brand, TripAdvisor said: “This recognition allows us to publicly recognise businesses that are actively taking into account customer feedback to help travellers confidently experience the most highly reviewed places to eat, stay, and explore.”

“We called in for lunch today after looking around the exhibitions, we both had the ploughman’s lunch and it was excellent. The plates were loaded with lots of lovely lean ham and a large wedge of Lancashire cheese, plus chutney and loads of salad. I cannot fault the quality or quantity of the food, the staff were efficient and polite and the environment clean. We’ll certainly be back to this Great Little Place!” – Neil
