Showcase your artistic talent in the Sefton Young Artist of the Year competition

The Atkinson in partnership with The Arts Society Southport invites Young Artists aged 11-18 living or going to school in the Sefton Borough to submit one photograph of an original artwork to our online competition.

The competition is for paintings, drawings, prints, photography, textiles, sculpture, mixed media, or any form of artwork you create. However, we do ask that colouring in outlines printed or drawn by someone else are not submitted. Adults may give encouragement but must not have a hands-on role in creating the artwork.

All entries will be exhibited on The Atkinson’s website from Saturday 22 May 2021 until 2022.

The winners will be announced on Thursday 10 June 2021 and awarded prizes donated by The Arts Society Southport.

Prizes

The artworks will be reviewed by a panel appointed by The Atkinson. All works are judged on individual merit and the judges’ decision is final. No correspondence or discussion will be entered into. Winners will be announced on Thursday 10 June. Winners will receive arts vouchers to be redeemed online.
