David Eddy, Localities Manager –
‘Sefton Council has a responsibility to promote equalities values across its communities and remains committed to providing and supporting an environment where all our people are valued for who they are at all times. We accept that comedy programming is subjective and trust our audiences to form their own decisions on what events they attend. However, in the light of recent media attention as a Council service the Atkinson feels it would be inappropriate for us to include this event in our theatre programme.’
