Open Call – The Sefton Open 2022

A chance to discover the wealth of artistic talent across Sefton, with an open exhibition in The Atkinson galleries where anyone who lives or works in the borough can submit work.

Artwork hand in day: Tuesday 29 March 2022, 11am – 7pm
Exhibition: 9 April – 21 May 2022

The Sefton Open is an annual exhibition celebrating the creativity and artistic talent across the borough. In 2022 The Atkinson welcomes the return of the exhibition into their galleries, as 2020 and 2021 were presented online.

The Sefton Open is a brilliant opportunity for local artists, groups and societies to exhibit together and to showcase their artwork. To submit artwork you must either live, work or have been educated in Sefton. All practices are welcome including ceramics, sculpture, painting, textiles and photography.

Discover the wealth of artistic talent that is right here in Sefton. Visitors to the exhibition are encouraged to vote for their favourite artwork on display. The artwork with the most votes will be awarded The People’s Prize.

Visitors can also support local artists by investing in their work, most artworks are available to purchase through The Atkinson and the Own Art Scheme.
