Have your say on plans for Southport Marine Lake Events Centre and Water and Light Show

Sefton Council are launching a public consultation to share proposed plans and listen to your comments and feedback.

The plans for the new Marine Lake Events Centre (MLEC) include a state-of-the-art theatre and entertainment space and a flexible conference and business events venue. It will also include a café and a signature restaurant, providing facilities for both visitors and the community alike. The proposals would accommodate a wide range of events in the town.

This exciting new development will replace the former Southport Theatre and Convention Centre on the Promenade which closed in 2020.

The plans also include a new Water and Light Show which will be an attraction that is unique to the UK. Designed to set Southport apart from other seaside towns, the show will attract thousands of additional visitors to the town each year.
