Outline of main duties:
Customer Assistants are the first point of welcome and information for visitors to The Atkinson; responsible for delivering the highest standards of customer service and customer care for audiences, visitors and customers across all aspects of The Atkinson’s work. We are looking for new members of the front of house and customer facing team. This is a key role in maximising the income for the venue and it is a varied role.
‘The 2 posts will be mainly working within the theatre events programme and as museum / gallery invigilators. Ushering at events and in hospitality roles including a busy bar environment are a key part of this role.’
The Atkinson is open evenings and weekends as well as during the week – this can be a very physically demanding role therefore we are looking for flexibility and adaptability. Although the contract is for 5 hours, there will be times when more hours are available.
Job requirements:
You will have a friendly, confident and approachable manner to maintain a high level of customer service at all times. You will be a reliable person who has an interest in the arts or who enjoys working in customer facing roles. You will be interested in and enthusiastic about all aspects of The Atkinson’s programmes.
Till experience and bar experience would be beneficial. The shifts will be mainly be in the evening and will support the performance programme.
Customer Assistants must be over 18 as they may be required to serve alcohol. You will be expected to attend regular briefing and training sessions to keep up to date with developments in The Atkinson’s programmes and services.
