Let’s start with our theatre. Nothing keeps the whole family engaged quite like a show in our beautiful, historic performing arts space. With family ticket packages available, this is October Half Term done right.

Scott Ritchie Productions brings the story of Rapunzel; an exciting and fun tangled musical adventure. Let your hair down in a brand-new adaptation of the popular fairy tale which is packed with songs, dance routines and jokes a-plenty.

With an exciting photo opportunity with the characters after the show, this is sure to be a “hair-raising” production that you won’t want to miss.

I Spy With My Little Eye is the perfect introduction to live theatre for little ones. This event is ideal for ages 2+ and even gives audiences the opportunity to have a photo opportunity with the cast!

So consider yourself cordially invited to join us for what promises to be a truly magical day of fun and laughter, complete with an amazing birthday treasure hunt, all your favourite sing along songs and lots of interactive games – including birthday girl Molly’s favourite… “I Spy With My Little Eye!”

For the crafty kids, check out our Make It! Session taking place on Thursday 27 October. We will be joined by local artist Dot Rogers as we get creative with Day Of The Dead themed crafts. No booking is required and it is completely free to join. The Art Box comes supplied with all materials. Just bring along your imagination and let your creativity run wild!

Hang out in our galleries and museums as we take you on a journey from the Sefton Coast all the way to Ancient Egyptian times. Download a variety of trails to follow in our Museum. Print them at home and bring them with you, don’t forget a pencil!

Going trick or treating this Halloween? Find plenty of costume inspiration in our museums. From Nes-Amun, to Dan Dare; Pilot Of The Future!

A range of interactive displays and creative activities have been designed to help visitors of all ages have fun whilst exploring The Atkinson. All completely free and booking is not required.

Bring your family museum trip to life for free with the Tom Gates Mega Museum Challenge activity pack from Scholastic and Kids in Museums. Kids can go on their very own adventure by seeing if they can ‘Spot Ten Random Things’ from the activity sheet at the museum – from the biggest thing to the grossest!
