There are few civilizations as captivating and enigmatic as ancient Egypt. For millennia, the ancient Egyptians’ profound belief in the Afterlife has fascinated archaeologists and historians alike. One of the most intriguing practices that emerged from this belief system was mummification – a process that allowed the deceased to journey into the Afterlife.
One of the most famous elements of Ancient Egyptian study is Tutankhamun, also known as King Tut. He became pharaoh when he was just a young boy, around the age of 9 or 10, and ruled Egypt for about 10 years. Despite his short reign, he is one of the most famous pharaohs because of the remarkable discovery of his tomb in the Valley of the Kings in 1922. His tomb’s discovery helped us understand more about ancient Egypt and its rich history.
