Ukraine is a country with a wealth of history, tradition, and considerable cultural talent. Over the centuries the Ukrainian people have evolved an incredible and varied folk art that encompasses ceramics, weaving, embroidery, wood carving and painting. Each stylised ornamentation represents a unique regional style.
The Atkinson is showcasing some of this incredible heritage and culture in an exhibition designed and delivered by an amazing group of Ukrainian ladies who wish to share some of these stories and traditions with you.
Throughout February 2024 you can visit the Discovery Box and see why Ukraine has such an ‘Indomitable Spirit’.
Each Saturday during the run of this exhibition a special event will also be running, so that you can share in this strong tradition and culture. More information coming soon.
