Current Season: 7 September – 30 November 2021
Funded by The Atkinson Development Trust and Liverpool CVS, the choir was launched in 2019 with the aim to bring joy and a sense of community to people who felt isolated or needed a new challenge.
As well as being fun and providing an opportunity to meet new friends, research has shown joining a choir improves your mental health, confidence and increases your sense of belonging.
Led by Caroline Darbyshire of CD Music Academy, the choir sing a variety of songs from ‘Do You Love Me’ by The Contours to Lewis Capaldi’s ‘Someone You Loved’. There are also opportunities to perform in community concerts.
The choir is open to all abilities for anyone over the age of 18 and is free to attend, donations are welcomed. Come along, sign up and have a go!
“I love to sing, and for two hours a week, I can forget all my worries and forget I am a carer, it gives me a boost and helps me face the rest of the week”
“It has given me a sense of belonging and a connection with like minded people. Also a sense of purpose.”
“I feel so calm and uplifted after spending time singing with such nice people”
