As part of this year’s national Festival of Archaeology (11 – 26 July) we will be holding a Finds Day during which anyone can bring their finds or objects into the Museum for assessment and identification. Alan Dawson and members of the Ormskirk & West Lancashire Numismatic Society will be on hand to identify finds and there will be displays of typical fieldwalking material plus other fascinating antiquities from different periods of our history and much more.

David Griffiths will be carrying out coin striking demonstrations and you can have your chance to make your own to take away.
