The Vikings are looking for a new North West of England Tafl Champion. Learn how to play Tafl ( Viking chess) and challenge a Hnefatafl Grand Master and former world champion Leo Kolassa.
Playing Hnefatafl was juts one of the ways Vikings learnt about their war craft. Warfare was not juts about brute strength but also about strategy, tactical thinking, the art of surprise, and sometimes the favour of the gods to win against the odds. When you play Hnefatafl you come closer to understanding how the Vikings saw the world whilss learning a little more about their culture
