Sir Henry Segrave’s Land-Speed Record Reenactment
Share:

It will be the 90th anniversary of Sir Henry Segrave’s land-speed record and is the heart of the Festival. The Tiger will leave the Atkinson early morning and return to the same stretch of beach where it will re-enact the record attempt in full view of the public.

We are proud to be working in partnership with Aintree Circuit Club who are running the car events at Ainsdale beach. Members of the Sunbeam Talbot Darraq Register are participating; plus a superb selection of pre-war saloons and race cars entered by local owners and drivers … the oldest vehicle promises to be a 1910 Sunbeam.

Public Access for spectators is available on foot via the entrance at Ainsdale beach and parking is available at Pontins at a reduced price £3 per car. Members of the public will be directed to a safe viewing area by stewards to watch the re-enactment. Vehicle access is not allowed on the beach.

Join us from 10am and bring history to life!
