Tea Dance: October
Share:

Are you young at heart?

Join us on the third Monday of every month for an afternoon of live music and entertainment provided by Sefton Opera (Sefton Older Persons Enabling Resource & Action) featuring Elvis, music from resident band Memory Lane and a variety of dance routines from The Bootle Belles. Plus variety acts and special guests.

These events are aimed at the over 50s, with plenty of chance to get up and dance or to spectate and socialise.

We welcome the line-dancers, armchair hand wavers, the jivers and the everything in-betweens to meet new friends and join in the fun.

So join us for a great time, show off your moves and raise some funds for Sefton Opera.

£3 on the door.

Sefton OPERA is based in the heart of the community and works throughout the whole of the borough of Sefton.
Since its inception, OPERA has worked with older and vulnerable people reducing loneliness and isolation by facilitating a range of activities from basic massages to full programme of complimentary therapies.
Other activities include Tai Chi, Eating Well Mentor Sessions, Chair Exercise Sessions, Intergenerational Projects, Health & Well Being de-Stress Sessions, Sing a Long & Music Sessions, 50+ Learn to Swim sessions, Computer ICT & Digital Camera Sessions, Art & Craft Sessions, most of which are free as well as Monthly Social Outings and Tea Dances.
OPERA provides services at grass roots levels for local people and during the past 12 months has found a dramatic increase in requests for services and activities. Our volunteers deliver activities predominantly to older people, but our intergenerational and youth work bridging the gap between the ages is currently progressing and developing new projects.
