In a modern world of mass production and technological advancements, Phill Gregson strives to maintain his families’ traditional skillset of Wheelwrighting.

In this documentary, local lad and Master Wheelwright Phill Gregson gives an insight into his lifestyle and his family history. He shares what it is like being a traditional craftsman in a modern world, evaluates where his work becomes art and discusses what wealth and satisfaction mean to him.

The film is underpinned by Phill’s unique process of creating a wheel from start to finish presenting a first-hand education into Wheelwrighting.

The online film screening is free, however booking is required before 11am on the morning of the film. The film will be presented using Zoom. You will receive an email invitation to join a Zoom meeting just after 11am.

Joining a Zoom meeting is quick and easy!

You will receive an email invitation to join a Zoom meeting. Open your email invitation and click the ‘join Zoom meeting’ link. You will then be prompted to either ‘download & run Zoom’ or ‘launch from your browser’. If the host has not yet started the meeting, a message will appear and you will be ‘let in’ when the host starts the meeting. If the host has already started the meeting you will automatically join the group. You are not required to have/turn on your own video and audio, unless you wish to do so. The Atkinson is unable to offer technical support to participants.
