KidsFest 2017

Saturday 21 – Saturday 28 October

This October half term the annual family fun fuelled festival returns and is bigger and better than ever.

Fairy tales gone bad!

Join performance poet Joseph Coelho, winner of the 2015 Centre for Literacy in Primary Poetry Award, as he unravels familiar fairy tales to create fresh contemporary classics in an enchanting performance for young and old alike.

A mysterious vaudeville storyteller with a magical top-hat and coat unwinds the true stories behind the happily ever afters; which are maybe not as charming as you remember!

Discover the true tale of Cinderella, where she dies and becomes a zombie and falls in love with a vampire prince. And of course, there’s the true tale of Little Red Riding Hood, the wolf-hunter who never leaves her home without her shield, axe and blood-red stained cloak.

After the show there will be a chance to meet Joseph and purchase signed copies of his books, as well as talk about his work.

Also from Joseph Coelho, Grannylocks/ The Monstrous Duckling

Joseph will be signing copies of his new book Luna Loves Library Day
