Not seen for over 40 years, our stunning Egyptology Gallery takes visitors on a journey through what life was like in ancient Egypt at the time of the Pharaohs. The museum is split into four themes of ritual, everyday life, beauty and communication. Within each of these themes there is a host of objects that give a sense of what life as an ancient Egypt would have been like

Between Land and Sea tells the story of the many people who have lived and worked along our coast. Explore the history of the Sefton coast from prehistoric times to the present day showcasing the development of Sefton’s tourist towns of Southport and Birkdale, the outstanding natural habitats from Marshside to Formby Point and the major industrial port of Bootle.
