Jane Austen with a Twist at The Atkinson

Jane Austen with a Twist at The Atkinson

“Supersmart and terrifically funny” ★★★★ – The Scotsman

On Saturday 11 November prepare yourself for Jane Austen with a twist; and a period comedy like no other!

Austentatious is back due to popular demand and is saddling the horses for a Grand Tour of the United Kingdom and making a stop at The Atkinson again this November!

The improvised comedy play stars a cast of the country’s quickest comic performers. In every single show the cast conjure up a brand new ‘lost’ Jane Austen novel based on nothing more than a title suggested by the audience.

Fresh from six sell-out runs at the Edinburgh Fringe, a monthly residency in London’s Leicester Square and a BBC Radio 4 special to mark the bicentenary of Austen’s death. Appearing across the country to entertain and astonish audiences in equal measure.

A bravura slab of improvisation” Independent

Previous ‘lost’ masterpieces have included Sixth Sense & SensibilityDouble 0 Darcy and Mansfield Shark, and no two shows are ever the same. Performed in period costume with live musical accompaniment, this is a Regency treat guaranteed to delight Austen novices and die-hard fans alike.

“A joy to behold” ★★★★ – The Guardian
