Meet the bands! – Big Blues Festival 2019

We are hosting our fifth annual Big Blues Festival this 11 & 12 October. A celebration of Rock, Rhythm & Blues music, it’s a festival you really don’t want to miss!

Let us introduce the bands who are playing at this year’s festival…

Crow Black Chicken One of Ireland’s top blues acts, their sound combines elements of folk and hard rock with the blues-rock of bands like Gov’t Mule, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Led Zeppelin.

Redfern, Hutchinson & Ross feature a triple guitar frontman line-up and play the best of Southern Rock, Americana and Blues.

British Blues Award winner Dani Wilde is a world-class singer and songwriter with Blues and Americana influences.

The Voodoo Sheiks carve out some serious classic sounding R&B and have been nominated for a British Blues Award. 

The Hiding Magpies are an Americana, Rock ’n’ Roll band singing about love, loss, heartache and redemption.

The Bushman Brothers are a Progressive Pop-Rock band with roots in Rock and Blues with strong indie pop sensibility. 

Trevor Babajack Steger has been nominated for Best Harmonica Player along with Best Album and Song in the British Blues Awards.

Irene Rae has supported many greats including, Midge Ure, The Christians, The Strawbs, Mark Morriss and Declan Bennett.

The Welsh trio Karac have a Celtic influence in their Blues music and have been described as a breath of fresh air.

Maddison Goode is a 16 year-old vocalist, guitarist and saxophonist who is currently in the process of recording an EP.
