Our digital exhibitions, Sefton Open and Sefton Young Artist of the Year, will close on Saturday 4 July 2020. Don’t miss your chance to view (and purchase) artworks from across the Borough.

The Sefton Open is an annual exhibition celebrating the creativity and artistic talent across the borough of Sefton. For the first time, The Atkinson is pleased to be showcasing this year’s Sefton Open in a digital exhibition with 190 artworks available to view online.

The Atkinson in partnership with The Arts Society Southport invited Young Artists aged 11-18 living in the Sefton Borough to submit one photograph of an original artwork to the Sefton Young Artist of the Year competition, exhibited on The Atkinson’s website. With over 120 entries received, the competition showcases the emerging talent in Sefton across a variety of artistic practices.

We’re looking forward to welcoming visitors into our galleries again soon, but for now, our digital exhibitions are a great way to view fantastic works of art.
