Limited Reopening Times & Services

We are looking forward to safely welcoming you back into The Atkinson. The building is re-opening in stages, with reduced visiting times and limited services.


TEMPORARY OPENING TIMES

From Monday 20 July 2020:

Monday – Saturday, 11am – 4pm

  • Library ‘click & collect’ service only
  • Box Office cash refunds

Monday – Saturday, 10am – 4pm

  • A Great Little Place Takeaway Café

From Monday 20 July, the Library will be open 11am – 4pm for ‘click & collect’ services only. Items can be returned and reservations collected from the external library door. Visitors will not be permitted into the Library at this time.

The Box Office will only be accessible to customers awaiting cash refunds, 11am – 4pm. As with other public services, we are limiting the number of visitors allowed into The Atkinson, please expect to queue to enter the building.

A Great Little Place will be offering a takeaway service from the external café door, with a reduced menu and limited outdoor seating, 10am-4pm.

We are unable to offer toilet facilities at this time.

The Museum, Gallery, Shop, Theatre and Studio at The Atkinson remain closed until further notice.

We appreciate your support in following guidance from staff, ensuring a safe environment is maintained at all times.


BOX OFFICE ENQUIRIES

The Atkinson’s Box Office team are currently working to contact customers who have booked tickets for cancelled, postponed and rescheduled performances. Working in chronological order of effected performances, the team endeavour to contact all customers as swiftly as possible.

For shows that have been cancelled or rescheduled during lockdown due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, customers are entitled to a ticket refund, exchange, credit note, or can donate the cost to The Atkinson Development Trust. Booking fees are an administrative cost and are non-refundable.

For events scheduled to take place, The Atkinson has a no refund policy. Tickets can be exchanged (for an equal or higher value) for alternative shows within a 3 month period for a fee of 50p per ticket. Tickets must be returned to the Box Office 48 hours prior to the performance. There are no exchanges for an event that has sold out or for any Festival tickets, including gig tickets within a festival. There are events which cannot be exchanged – please check details on the event page or at Box Office before booking. If an event is cancelled or rescheduled due to unforeseen circumstances, customers are entitled to a ticket refund, exchange, credit note, or can donate the cost to The Atkinson Development Trust. A booking fee of £1 per ticket is applicable to purchases made online and over the phone. Booking fees are an administrative cost and are non-refundable.
