January kicks off with Kevin Clifton’s sensational dance show Burn The Floor (6 Jan), stand-up from comedy legend Omid Djalili (26 Jan) and a play not just for football fans The Heart of Everton’s Badge to the Grand Old Lady (27 Jan).
Our Love Folk Festival returns for Valentines weekend (11 – 12 Feb) with two incredibly talented headliners; Jon Boden & The Remnant Kings and Ranagri. The bands are supported by a stellar line up from the folk music scene; Merry Hell, Lizzy Hardingham, ack Rutter, The Last Inklings, The Meadows and much more. Expect great food, great ales, and great music.
The Atkinson is fantastic for families! Woodland Tales with Granddad (17 Feb) features a cast of extraordinary puppets. Hurrah! For The Pirate King (18 Feb) takes you on a magical musical journey to find a treasure beyond gold and jewels. Rod Campbell’s much-loved lift the flap book Dear Zoo (2-3 Mar) is the perfect introduction to theatre for young children.
Plan a great night out with friends and family. The children of the revolution take you on a thrilling non-stop journey in Come What May: The Ultimate Tribute To Moulin Rouge (4 Feb). The rip-roaring comedy musical Crooners (19 Feb) features an outstanding 9-piece big band. Squeeze frontman Glenn Tilbrook (17 Mar) brings his ready wit, raucous vibes and a shed load of grin-inducing great songs.
We continue to remember the lives of Polish Airmen based at RAF Woodvale and the iconic Spitfire in Courage & Devotion (until 12 Mar) with Polish Day celebrations on the final day of the exhibition. Step back in time with our I Grew Up 80s exhibition (until 19 Mar) and prepare to exclaim ‘I remember that!’.
Relive the magic of the 80s music scene with some top tribute acts lined up this season! Are you a Super Trouper?… Livin’ On A Prayer?… Radio Ga Ga?…
