Send Us Your Street Photos!

Have you taken a great photo of one of these streets recently? Coronation Walk, Scarisbrick Avenue, Nevill Street, Bold Street and the parts of Lord Street and the Promenade that link them?

Southport’s Townscape Heritage are looking for one photo for each street for their upcoming exhibition at The Atkinson: Built on Sand – 200 years of Southport’s changing street scene. It needs to give a good sense of the buildings along the street and how they’re used today. An image that will bring back memories in decades to come! We’re especially interested in photos that show a mix of continuity and change – old buildings reused for different purposes, or newer buildings among the old.

We’ll reproduce the photos alongside old images of the streets – and we’ll credit the photographers in the exhibition.

If you’d like to share a photo that fits what we’re looking for, please fill in the form on their website by Thursday 12 May at the latest. Put some information about when you took the photo and why you chose it, tick the photo box and follow the instructions to upload your image (it must be less than 5MB), add the name of the street in the title box and your personal details, and then submit the form.

Thank you!
