In the sunshine, there truly is no better place to be than Southport. Start by heading down to the seaside to build sandcastles and take a stroll down the pier. Enjoy playing on the arcade machines at Silcocks Amusements or even go for a ride on the famous Golden Gallopers. The 1,108 metre long Grade II listed Southport Pier is the second longest in the country and boasts incredible view of the North West along the way. After all that walking & playing you deserve a portion of world-class fish and chips with an ice cream for dessert, of course!

Put down the games consoles and enjoy the immersive world of performance and theatre with these upcoming productions at The Atkinson. Morgan and West: Unbelievable Science is a fun for all the family full scale science extravaganza. Whilst Pongo’s Party asks little visitors to dress in their best party clothes and give Pongo the Pig the best birthday surprise ever, and Dinosaur World Live is certainly one not to be missed. Don’t forget to pack your compass and join our intrepid explorers on a dino-mite journey.

There are still adventures to be had on rainy days too. Head over to Ocean Plaza for a game of bowling at Tenpin Southport. You will find 20 lanes for you to enjoy with your friends and family as well as a Sector 7 area where you can play laser tag. For the smaller members of the family, there is Playtown; an indoor adventure play facility which is perfect for adventurous young children. With an exciting large play frame including a drop slide for the adventurous children or the fun toddler area with ball pool and mini slide for the little ones, there are hours of fun to be had.

Under 16s can attend for free for both of these incredible events so round up your crew and enjoy the magic of The Red Arrows, a dancing extravaganza with Strictly Come Dancing’s Aliaž & Janette or attend an interactive show with Ceebeebies’ Justin Fletcher plus much more. Take a picnic or enjoy many of the vendors trading at these events.
