The Atkinson in Southport is a leading arts centre, encompassing a museum, gallery, library, cafe, shop, theatre and studio.
Customer Assistants are the first point of welcome and information for visitors to The Atkinson. You will be responsible for delivering the highest standards of customer service and customer care for visitors and audiences across all aspects of the programme.
The Atkinson is open evenings and weekends as well as during the week. Many of the shifts will be in the evening, supporting the performing arts programme. Front of house responsibilities for hospitality will include working in the bar and ushering at theatrical events. Point of sale experience including bar experience will be beneficial to the role, and Customer Assistants must be over 18 as they may be required to serve alcohol. There may also be opportunities to work in the museum and gallery as invigilators.
You will be a reliable and punctual person who has an interest in the arts and enjoys working in customer facing roles. The ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team is essential to the position.
