Earth Day 2023

Earth Day 2023

We gave away 200 packets of pollinator friendly seeds on Saturday 22 April to celebrate Earth Day. Our volunteers Kathy and Vittoria loved talking to the public about our Bee Project and making people smile as they posed in our Beekeeper suits.

A team of our wonderful volunteers assembled the packets on Monday. Funding was used from the Bees At The Atkinson project made possible with funding from Liverpool Community Environment Fund. Although our funding for this project ends in May we are committed to caring for our bees and continuing to share our beekeeping story with you.

Earth Day 2023

Earth Day is a global event that celebrates the beauty and diversity of our planet, while also raising awareness and action for the urgent environmental challenges we face. Every year on April 22, millions of people around the world join together to show their support for a more sustainable future.

This year, the theme of Earth Day was “Invest in Our Planet”. This theme invited us to rethink how we use our natural resources, how we value our ecosystems, and how we can create a green economy that benefits both people and the planet. Investing in our planet means taking responsibility for our environmental impact, supporting innovative solutions, and demanding bold action from our leaders.
